You may be aware that the electricity supply to the College was disrupted recently when an electrical short and subsequent fire occurred in a distribution pole on the College grounds. The fuses on the three phases coming into the College were very old and had ceased to function effectively.
Power was restored over the weekend and the College has functioned reasonably normally since with the exception that classroom air conditioning has been disconnected.

Parent/Student/Teacher Interviews |

Parent/Student/Teacher interviews will be held on Thursday 25 March between 2-4.30pm and 5.30-8pm. Students will be dismissed at 12.53pm.
Students are expected to attend the interviews with their parents. Interview Appointment Sheets will be distributed with reports on Monday 22 March and students are asked to make appointments with their teachers. However, parents and students who do not have an appointment are still welcome and encouraged to attend.

Congratulations to the 855 students who ran, jogged, walked or managed to complete the 3km Cross Country course on Tuesday 2 March. All results are provisional at this stage – subject to protests and score checks but the clear winning house was Maroondah.
Results were as follows:
Maroondah 1686 points
Kalinda 1448 points
Yarra 1426 points
Mullum 1106 points

CAN YOU HELP? We need copies of Remote Man |

A publishing decision has meant that our Year 8 students cannot purchase this text from our usual supplier and copies are not readily available elsewhere.
If you have a copy of “Remote Man”, by Elizabeth Honey consider giving the text to Norwood so we can offer copies to those students who cannot find one.
If you have a copy please drop it into the Library.

These have commenced and are for prospective Year 7 students and their parents. If you know of other parents considering Norwood for their student in 2011 please inform them of these tours. Bookings can be made with the General Office.
All tours commence at 9.15am and last for approximately 1 hour.
